Launched by Foursquare founder Aimee Semple McPherson, Foursquare's flagship periodical has been a respected Christian publication for generations, since its inception in 1917 under the label Bridal Call, through December 2008 when the publication ceased printing. The magazine has been renamed several times through the years--becoming Foursquare Crusader, Foursquare Magazine and, in 1964, Foursquare World Advance--but the vision to serve Foursquare churches, members and friends of Foursquare has remained the same and kept current with the times. While the magazine is no longer in print, the editors of Advance are now publishing content weekly at www.foursquare.org/headlines.
