Writers who wish to propose article ideas to Advance should know the magazine well. We assign most of our articles to professional writers or freelance journalists who have established themselves with us. In many cases, especially when it comes to teaching articles, our writers are well-known pastors or church leaders. We are open to establishing relationships with new writers. Most articles originate with the editors.
Advance does not accept unsolicited manuscripts. However, we welcome e-mail queries or letters that briefly describe or outline a proposed article.
Query e-mails should be addressed to the editorial director and can be submitted online.
Query
letters, if not e-mailed, must be typewritten on one side of 8-1/2" by
11" white bond paper. The author's name, address and telephone number
should appear on the top left of the page. Replies from the editor
require a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Query letters can be addressed to the editorial director and sent to the address listed on our contact page.
Advance buys all rights. Payment is made upon publication. Sample issues are available upon request and subject to availability.
