The Parsonage of Aimee Semple McPherson
The
life and ministry of Aimee Semple McPherson is celebrated in
unprecedented fashion through the renovation of her home located next
door to Angelus Temple in Los Angeles. Those who visit the parsonage
will learn the amazing, almost epic, story of one of the most famous
and influential people of the early 20th century.
The home is
restored with original furniture, photographs, props, personal
artifacts and displays. The wonders of modern media tools have
transformed memories and memorabilia into a trip back in time with each
room unveiling a portion of the life of Sister McPherson. It recaptures
an unprecedented period of American history and culture. And it reminds
us of our Foursquare heritage and call.
Experience the legacy of
Aimee Semple McPherson’s life and ministry by visiting The Foursquare
Heritage Center, located just north of downtown Los Angeles.
The Foursquare Heritage Gift Shop
After
touring the parsonage, stop by the gift shop and pick up something to
remember your visit. Choose from a variety of books, DVDs and CD sermons by and about Aimee
Semple McPherson, founder of The Foursquare Church. We also have a
selection of gift items, which includes souvenir plates, note cards and
a customized medallion series. If you're interested in purchasing any

contact us. The Heritage online store web site is now in development and will be available soon.
The Research Center
Our
Foursquare research facility houses and maintains the historical
records (text and photos) pertaining to Aimee Semple McPherson’s life
and the early years (up through 1945) of The Foursquare Church,
focusing mainly on Angelus Temple and its ministries. (Our
Archives department is responsible for any other historical and business records relating to The Foursquare Church.)
We
keep accurate documentation in order to dispel myth from truth, afford
outside interests a focal point for information, and provide a place of
reference for our pastors and constituents to seek information or
direct others who have an interest in our history.
